In 1968 the California Western Region Ford Dealers offered a limited production Mustang based on the Shelby Mustang GT that was planned but not produced. The car was to be named "The California Special". The GT/CS was built out of the San Jose, California Plant. This Mustang is one of the most sought after due to the clean lines and "ducktail" spoiler.
