Registration

All vehicles submitted to our auctions will be unregistered. In some cases the vehicle will have a QLD Dept of transport approved LO2 plate attached. In which case registering the car in Queensland is as simple as getting a Safety Certificate from a QLD transport approved roadworthy agent, and going to QLD transport for registration. In cases where no LO2 plate is present and you intend to get the vehicle registered in Queensland, you as the buyer of the vehicle are required to get the LO2 plate. Geezers Classic Garage can arrange for the fitting of the LO2 and/or required modifications at the buyer's expense. Please understand this process is typically a very simple one (headlights and seatbelt replacement), but as Auctioneers, no guarantee of costs or timeframe of any sort is given or implied.

GST

All prices are inclusive of GST.

Reserves

Some vehicles are submitted to auction with reserve prices. Vehicles are not submitted to our auctions if we consider their reserve to be unreasonable. If the highest auction bid does not reach the reserve price the auctioneer will refer the price to the vendor to see if the price is acceptable. This is done as quickly as possible and an answer is usually available within minutes. Please make yourself known to a Geezers staff member immediately after the fall of the hammer.

Bidding

Make sure the auctioneer or his assistants can see your bid by raising your bidder's number or hand in an obvious way. After you have made your first bid they will watch you carefully. Don't worry! Scratching your head or rubbing your nose will not be considered a bid. Most bidding is in $1000 or $500 raises, although the auctioneer may nominate an amount higher or lower. The auctioneer has the right to nominate how much each bid represents. Be careful - you cannot withdraw a bid once it is made.

If Successful

The auctioneer will say "that will be your car". A sold slip will be issued to you (highest bidder) if the vehicle has been announced to be sold or upon the approval of the referred highest bid. You will then be required to proceed directly to the settlement office where you will pay your deposit (details in Terms & Conditions). Settlement in full and pickup of said vehicle is required before 4pm on the Tuesday after the Auction, ie 72 hours after the auction. Please note most EFTPOS cards have limits on the amount you can withdraw each day and please have your finance in order and finalized prior to bidding as all bids are final.

Good Luck
